When my husband, Hayden, suggested we go to Crete, I reached out to Sandra right away and asked for her help planning this bucket list trip…best decision I ever made! After sharing that this was an opportunity for Hayden to see the homeland of his favorite author, Nikos Kazantzakis, Sandra began planning an unforgettable experience for us.
Extremely detail-oriented, Sandra got to work not only planning the logistics of the trip but scanning hundreds of reviews about hotels and activities at each stop (all over Crete, Naxos, and Paros). Sandra distilled all the research and gave me options at each location, which I never would have had the time to do myself! Even better, the experience on the ground was incredible…the locations and level of hospitality at each stop were over the top. I noticed that during several of our hotel check-in experiences, the hotel staff member mentioned that they had spoken with Sandra.
There were many highlights from the trip, but the best was the surprise she helped me plan for Hayden! Not only did she have a Kazantzakis expert meet us in Heraklion to walk the neighborhood where the author grew up and went to school, but we also visited the basilica where his funeral had been and the beautiful spot above the city where he was buried. Then, we all went to the Kazantzakis Museum, where we had an after-hours private tour for two hours! Then, we had an authentic Cretan meal around the corner! My husband was completely blow away!
Sandra kept us informed, which was so helpful. I cannot begin to describe how priceless the spiral bound, day by day travel guide was! Every reservation, phone number, address, even suggested restaurants and activities were included, making this the most stress free international trip we have ever taken. All we had to do was show up! The tours and guides she booked were incredible, and the route she suggested worked out perfectly. She kept up with us behind the scenes as we traveled and made sure everything was going smoothly. For example, when we woke up on departure day, I had a message from Sandra that our flight had been delayed, and she had already rebooked our shuttle to the airport for a later time.
Hands down the best service we have ever had. Sandra listened, researched, consulted with me, and the trip was unforgettable, mainly because we had no stress planning or during our travels.
I highly, highly, highly recommend Sandra to anyone investing in a vacation and want to let someone else do the planning so that they can just enjoy the trip! Sandra is a “10!”
